We have such a range of expertise and experience that not all our services fit neatly into categories. We offer several specialty services that are customized to fit the unique needs of our customers.
Here’s a sampling of our specialty services.
- Fish protection net installation: Each spring we install a 3-mile long fish protection net in Lake Michigan, at Ludington. Each fall we remove the net.
- Underpinning: We underpin buildings with utilities and electrical duct banks. We can use driven, vibration-free, and/or helical piles.
- Fabrication: We do a lot of in-house fabrication. We build small tugs, boats, barges, weir structures, gates, and handrails.
- Salvage: for insurance companies and private entities. We salvaged a large dolphin (piles driven close together)
- Diving services: We provide diving services for salvaging sunk boats, underwater gate inspection, water intake inspection, and intake crib inspection. In 2019 we pulled out a large fender structure in Grand Haven.
- Design/build: Our team includes a Professional Engineer (PE).
- Inspection services: We provide underwater gate inspection, water intake inspection, intake crib inspection, and structural inspections (condition assessments) prior to design/build.
- Cofferdams: We professionally engineer and dewater cofferdams, structures that keep water away from construction sites.
- Hydrographic Surveying: We create a topographic map of the bottom of the body or channel of water.
